Idea for smaller workplaces with little workplace risks or for large
workplaces that need extra cover.
If you are the Nominated person to take charge in case of illness or
accidents, you will learn basic first aid techniques and the regulations that
govern workplaces.
Course Duration
Training takes between 4 to 7 hours over 1 day, depending upon needs.
Below represents typical course content.
- Health and Safety Regulations (First Aid 1981)
- Role of an Appointed person
- Managing the scene of an accident
- Primary assessment (DRAB)
- Treatment of an unconscious casualty
- Recovery position
- Bleeding and bandaging
- Treatment of Shock
- Treatment of Heart attack
- CPR
- Any other illnesses or injuries.
A certificate is issued at the end of the course which is valid for 3
years.
